Jennifer went to Neshaminy State Park last weekend to take photos of 2 year old Cooper. He has as much fun as she did by the sand and water. How cute is this little guy?
Jennifer had fun with Noah, the adorable one-year old, at the studio last week. He loved all of the props, and even wanted to eat the JOY sign. Enjoy your second year, Noah!
Today, we had the pleasure of photographing Anna, Frankie, Keiran, Maddie, Jane, Brogan, Shayla, Braden, Mackenzie and Ryan in our NEW Springfield, Delaware County studio.
All we can say is..."Oh what fun!"
Here are some outtakes.

Baby Amelia arrived at the Firefly studio dressed to impress. She and Dad were wearing mom's favorite shade of green for our first portrait. Mom pulled out all the stops for her new baby girl by visiting a friend's boutique for some fun outfits. Amelia was decked out in tulle, bows, ruffles, feathers and lace. This little girl is all about dressing up. She rocked her photo shoot with big smiles and fun poses.
Enjoy your new baby girl!

I always say for proposals, the guy has to give the girl "a story". For the rest of her life, people will ask her how he proposed and she needs an entertaining story to tell.
Well, Matt gave Katie her story. He had me with my camera and his friend, Joe, with his video camera, hiding out by the gazebo atop the hill at the Art Murseum when he popped the question.
Joe stuck a "Quote of the Day" on the ledge in the gazebo before Matt and Katie arrived where she would find it.
Katie didn't even notice Joe and I snapping away, as Matt gave her the envelope to read and then got on one knee.
She said YES.
Lindsay and Sean are one of our Firefly VIPs. We photographed them when they first got engaged, then when they got married, then when Ava was one, and today with their newest addition, James.
James had a bottle at the studio and then fell fast asleep - we love those kinds of newborn clients! Ava loved our new car and duck props, almost as much as her new brother.
What a beautiful family. Enjoy this next chapter, Lindsay and Sean.
After photographing Meghan and Mayuk's wedding at Glen Forde Mansion, I think that all couples should write their own vows. These two had the most heartfelt vows and it made their ceremony so powerful. The day was hot and humid, but beautiful. Meghan took special care with her favors, and even let Melissa and I take a candy box home from her orange and pink candy table. They also had a table set up with a guy from New York rolling fresh cigars. You can guess where all of the men at the wedding spent the evening, right? Outside, smoking the cigars.
Congrats lovebirds!
I was just saying the other day that I needed to get back to shooting just for fun, and not for work. Our trip to Maine gave me the inspiration. It was a nice sunny day and the clouds and the tide were rolling in on the grassy field out back of our beach house. Keiran, Jane, Maddie and Pop were having a grand old time.

Nick and Jennifer could not have asked for a more beautiful day for their wedding in the city of Philadelphia. The sky was a perfect shade of blue accented with pure white clouds. Nick and Jennifer were not only celebrating their love for each other but the love that they share for their son Spencer. Spencer brought along a special friend to take part in the wedding: “Snowy Bear”.
Spencer took part in every step of the wedding from holding mommy and daddy’s hands during the cermony to sticking his finger in the cake for the first taste.
Congrats to all!

Today, I spent the morning at the Broad Street Run with Jimbo's Squad (JimbosSquad.org), a fund raising chapter of Fox Chase Cancer Center. One of my best friends, Andrea, and her sisters & nephews are in the group and ran the 10 miles today to help raise funds for FCCC and help patients battling cancer.
This charity is special because they focus on improving the care of people dealing with cancer. They provide fleece blankets and pillows to the chemo ward to keep them warm while receiving treatment. They supply meditation CD's and relaxation treatments. For the children, they supply puppets to help break the news about their condition or their parents cancer. They identify families who are losing the battle and send them and their families on an all expense paid trip to the beach for a week during this very important time. They also identify single parent families who struggle with the financial burdens of cancer treatment and give their children a Christmas they would otherwise not be able to have. 100% of Jimbo's Squad funds goes directly towards the patients at Fox Chase Cancer Center.
Fox Chase is where Andrea's father and uncle (Jimbo) were treated during their fight. It was inspiring to see her and her entire family (her mom was on the sidelines cheering them on) take on the challenge of a 10 mile run and do it together. Her dad & uncle would have been be very proud of them today.

Yesterday, I had the pleasure of meeting 12 week old Emma and seeing her mom, Vicki, for the first time in years - and meeting her Dad, Brad. Mom and Dad hurried into the studio loaded down with props and outfits for Emma. I have never seen such a spread! How cute is the black damask blanket?
Mom had assured me beforehand that there was no way that Emma would fall asleep for some sleepy newborn photos. She said this baby girl was a party animal.
She was right. We tried everything to get her to sleep: my secret sound soother app, rocking, pacifier, but this girl was not snoozing. So, we wrapped up the shoot and were packing up and we turned around...and there she was sleeping away. Mom was shocked that her girl fell asleep, so we took them over to the window for some natural light photos.
Beautiful family. Beautiful baby girl. Enjoy!
